Fire in the Glen
Scots-Irish traditional & Celtic eclectic music.

Would you like to learn to play the fiddle Irish style?
Do you want to master the bodhran?

Tom Knapp, fiddler and bodhranist for Fire in the Glen since 1999, offers private lessons on both instruments!

Fiddle lessons are available to those who already have a working knowledge of the instrument. Tom doesn't teach beginner violin, but does teach those with a basic awareness of strings, bows and the like how to play in the Irish style.

New bodhranists are welcome; all you need is your own drum! (Truth be told, Tom has also taught people how to play basic rhythms on a pizza box, in which case all you need is your own beater, aka tipper, aka stick!)

Email Tom at tom@fireintheglen.com or call 717-396-9293 for details.

Have you ever fancied...

...singing shanties and pub songs with enough gusto to keep the sailors cheering and the mugs thumping?
...lifting up a set of bagpipes to carry a tune that'll make a tough guy weep, and instantly fill every heart with Celtic longing at the sound?
...cheerfully tootling some tunes to keep the toes tapping, on an Irish tin whistle (aka pennywhistle)?

If you are looking for someone to help you with these musical dreams, Rod Nevin can help!
